Microsoft is updating the Windows 11 Taskbar to make it more useful when using computers in a tablet configuration. The new design includes two modes, wherein the default mode the taskbar appears as a thin bar at the bottom of the screen, which includes only the minimum required information such as clock, battery time, and network connection mode.
With a slight pull-up, the taskbar has grown to "extended" mode, from which you can access the Start Menu and the various programs installed on the device. In this configuration, the icons are enlarged precisely to allow more convenient control of the touch. You can also choose to view various widgets, such as the weather forecast.
This update already appears in the latest trial version of Windows 11, which includes a number of other updates. Among other things, in this version, the size of the widgets displayed on the screen is automatically adjusted to the amount of content displayed in them, and the keyboard includes 37 new emoji icons. Snaping of windows should also occur more intuitively and faster.
The date when this update will reach all users has not yet been revealed, although Microsoft has already announced its intention to update the operating system with such updates several times a year, instead of waiting and distributing all the updates at once in one larger annual update.
