Intel's client processors account for up to half of its revenue.
Intel held an annual shareholder meeting regarding its roadmap for the next couple of years. Preparing for the release of new generations of processors, reports RBC-Ukraine.
Intel's client processors account for up to half of its revenue. The company has already prepared a plan for the release of new generations of circuits.
The second half of 2022:
Intel will begin shipping Raptor Lake processors. They have the same hybrid architecture as Alder Lake and will be manufactured using the Intel 7 process. At the same time, Raptor Lake has 24 cores and 32 supported threads. The company promises performance and overclocking capability.
2023:
Intel will launch processors codenamed Meteor Lake, which is manufactured using the Intel 4 processor, which provides a 20% increase in performance compared to Intel 7. The circuit will also be equipped with four semiconductor dies - CPU, GPU, SoC, and IO, which will provide it with the speed level of discrete graphics cards.
2024:
The company is preparing the Arrow Lake processor, which will have a tiled design. The component parts of the circuit will be produced according to the Intel 20A process technology.
Intel also hinted at the Lunar Lake consumer processor, however, details about it were never disclosed.
